Job summary

EG Australia is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a 12-month term contract. Reporting to the Payroll Lead, you will ensure accurate, compliant and timely payroll processing across the business.

This role covers superannuation payments, STP submissions, GL reconciliations and payroll tax lodgments, with a hybrid work arrangement between North Sydney Office and work from home. Ideal for someone with Australian payroll expertise and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation including Superannuation Guarantee, STP and Payroll Tax.
  • Proven experience using payroll systems.
  • Experience performing payroll-related GL reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Superannuation payment processing, including validation, reconciliation, and timely submission.
  • Prepare, review, and lodge Single Touch Payroll (STP) submissions in accordance with ATO requirements.
  • Validate payroll-related General Ledger (GL) reports and investigate variances.
  • Support payroll balance sheet reconciliations, including payroll clearing accounts, employee deductions, superannuation, payroll tax, and other payroll liabilities.
  • Prepare and lodge payroll tax returns across relevant jurisdictions.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding payroll-related matters.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a 12-month term contract. Reporting to the Payroll Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate, compliant and timely payroll processing, while contributing to continuous improvement across systems and processes.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Perform Superannuation payment processing, including validation, reconciliation, and timely submission.
  • Prepare, review, and lodge Single Touch Payroll (STP) submissions in accordance with ATO requirements.
