Job summary

Peoplecorp is seeking a hands-on payroll professional to own the payroll function across Australia and New Zealand. You will run fortnightly payroll in Dayforce for a salaried workforce, ensuring end-to-end processing and issue resolution.

As the payroll function grows, there's potential to build a team or shift into broader systems work. A flexible, hybrid arrangement is available with three days in the office, and applicants must be Australian citizens.

THE ORGANISATION

Our client is a growing organisation of 500 + people across Australia and New Zealand. They have recently brought payroll in-house and moved to Dayforce. Now they need a hands-on payroll professional to take ownership of the function. It's an ambitious business with plans to keep growing, and this role will grow with it.

THE ROLE

You will be the go-to person for payroll across Australia and New Zealand. You'll run fortnightly payroll in Dayforce, managing end-to-end processing for a mostly salaried workforce. You'll troubleshoot issues, find practical solutions and refine processes so payroll runs smoothly. As the business grows, so can the function, with scope to build a team or move into broader systems specialisation.

THE CRITERIA

To be successful in this role, you will bring hands-on payroll experience and be confident processing from start to finish. Dayforce experience is highly regarded but not essential. Mindset matters most. You enjoy learning new systems, solving tricky problems and working through ambiguity. You're autonomous, organised and comfortable being the payroll expert. Candidates earlier in their career who are eager to learn are encouraged to apply.
