Job summary

Metcash Trading Limited is seeking a Payroll Compliance & Project Specialist on a 12-month fixed-term basis. The role focuses on analysing payroll data, ensuring compliance, and supporting related projects in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in payroll, familiarity with Chris21 and Kronos, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication to manage stakeholder relationships. A hybrid work arrangement is available in Australia.

Qualifications

• At least five years of payroll-related experience.
• Experience with Chris21 and Kronos preferred.
• Excel skills with strong attention to detail.
• Analytical, problem-solving and numerical abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Analyse payroll data and support the compliance project.
• Complete leave balance reconciliations across Chris21 and SuccessFactors.
• Support Chris21 projects, including configuration reviews and testing.
• Assist with Enterprise Agreement backpay following renegotiations.
• Review payroll data for acquisitions and assist with its upload into Chris21.
• Document Chris21 leave-group configurations against agreements, awards and legislation.
• Assist with year-end reconciliations for ATO reporting and maintain procedural documentation.
