Job summary

RATP Dev Australia is seeking a Payroll Advisor to manage the compliant, end-to-end payroll lifecycle for NSW and VIC workforces across major projects, ensuring adherence to multi-state legislation, EAs, and Modern Awards.

You will deliver timely pay runs, handle onboarding, leave, allowances and terminations, and manage complex calculations, time and attendance integration, and STP Phase 2 reporting in partnership with Finance.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Payroll: Deliver timely, accurate pay runs including onboarding, adjustments, leave management, allowances, and final termination calculations.
  • Complex Pay Calculations: Process redundancies, retrospective pay adjustments, leave loading, and off-cycle payments.
  • Multi-State Compliance: SME for NSW and VIC payroll legislation, ensuring statutory compliance across PAYG tax, payroll tax, superannuation, and workers' compensation.
  • Award & EA Interpretation: Interpret and apply Modern Awards and enterprise agreements to correctly calculate penalties, overtime, and entitlements.
  • Time & Attendance Integration: Audit and validate timesheet records from Kronos/UKG, resolving discrepancies before pay finalisation.
  • Finance & Year-End Reporting: Coordinate STP Phase 2 reporting, monthly GL reconciliations, and payroll liability reporting with Finance.
  • Employee & Stakeholder Support: Provide timely, professional support for employee and manager queries regarding payroll, taxation, leave entitlements, and timesheet processing.

About the Role

As our Payroll Advisor,you will be the dedicated subject matter expert managing the compliant,end-to-end payroll lifecycle for RATP Dev Australia across both New SouthWales (NSW) and Victoria (VIC).

Supporting both the WesternSydney Airport and Suburban Rail Loop project workforces, this role ensuresrigorous compliance with multi-state legislation, Enterprise Agreements (EAs),and Modern Awards.

KeyResponsibilities:
  • End-to-EndPayroll: Deliver timely, accurate end-to-end pay runs, includingonboarding, adjustments, leave management, allowances, and finaltermination calculations.
  • ComplexPay Calculations: Accurately process redundancies, retrospective payadjustments, leave loading, and off-cycle payments.
  • Multi-StateCompliance: Serve as the SME for NSW and VIC payroll legislation,ensuring statutory compliance across PAYG tax, payroll tax, superannuationguarantee, and workers' compensation.
  • Award& EA Interpretation: Interpret and apply Modern Awards andproject Enterprise Agreements to correctly calculate penalty rates,overtime, and enterprise entitlements.
  • Time& Attendance Integration: Audit and validate timesheet recordsfrom Kronos/UKG, collaborating with operational managers to resolvediscrepancies before pay finalisation.
  • Finance& Year-End Reporting: Coordinate STP Phase 2 reporting, monthlygeneral ledger reconciliations, and payroll liability reporting(headcount, leave provisions, overtime trends) in partnership withFinance.
  • Employee& Stakeholder Support: Provide timely, professional support foremployee and manager queries regarding payroll, taxation, leaveentitlements, and timesheet processing.
