Job summary

Pure Source Recruitment is seeking a capable Payroll Officer/Administrator for an immediate temporary role in Brisbane. Office-based position with no remote work, aligning with SCHADS Award at approximately Level 3.4–4.2 depending on experience.

You will handle end-to-end payroll tasks, timesheet collation, employee changes, and onboarding support, with potential for permanency for the right candidate. Immediate start and hands-on payroll experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous payroll administration experience essential.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical information handling.
• Familiarity with SCHADS Award pay rate structures is highly regarded.
• Experience supporting HR onboarding processes and maintaining records is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and responsiveness to requests.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end payroll administration and processing support, including pay runs Preparation.
• Collate timesheets, follow up on missing information and ensure hours are accurately recorded.
• Process payroll variations and employee changes, including SCHADS Award rate amendments.
• Assist with smaller pay runs for ~8–9 employees and potential for more responsibilities.
• Support STP lodgements and superannuation preparation.
• Manage payroll inbox and escalate important matters to Senior Payroll Officer.
• Provide HR onboarding administration and employee documentation support.
• Resolve payroll-related queries and maintain records.
