Job summary

Youi Pty Ltd is seeking a payroll professional on a full-time basis to support a 2,000+ employee organisation on a hybrid work model in Australia. You will balance data accuracy, compliance and employee queries while building payroll knowledge within a large-scale operation.

You'll work with experienced leaders to deepen your understanding of payroll legislation, systems and processes and contribute to ongoing improvement projects that enhance service delivery.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years payroll experience in a medium to large company.
  • Experience with payroll processing including commissions and performance-based payments.
  • Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation (tax, superannuation, leave).
  • Strong computer skills including Excel and payroll software (Chris21 preferred).
  • Ability to quickly analyse payroll data for trends and anomalies.
  • Consistently accurate work and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Processing payroll transactions including leave, adjustments, deductions and terminations.
  • Maintaining employee payroll records and checking data for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assisting with payroll reporting, reconciliations and overpayment recovery.
  • Responding to payroll enquiries and resolving issues with employees and leaders.
  • Using payroll systems and Excel to manage information and support processing.
  • Contributing ideas to improve payroll processes and efficiency.

This role suits someone who enjoys working with numbers, systems and processes, but also values the people side of payroll. You'll spend your days balancing data accuracy, compliance requirements and employee queries, while learning the ins and outs of payroll in a large and complex organisation.

You'll be supported by experienced payroll professionals who will help you deepen your knowledge of payroll legislation, systems and processes. It's a great opportunity for someone with some payroll experience who wants to continue building a long-term career in the field.

What you'll be doing
  • Processing payroll transactions including leave, adjustments, deductions and terminations
  • Maintaining employee payroll records and checking data for accuracy and compliance
