Job summary

AC Industries is a leading Australian manufacturer based in Prestons, NSW, seeking a Payroll & Accounts Officer. You will manage end-to-end payroll on a weekly and monthly cadence, handle adjustments, superannuation, PAYG and STP, plus entitlements and terminations.

You will also oversee accounts payable, supplier invoices, reconciliations and related financial records with a focus on accuracy. You will use Xero or similar systems, ensure payroll awards compliance, and contribute to month-end

Qualifications

• Experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
• Experience in accounts payable including invoices and reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of payroll awards, employment conditions and compliance.
• Experience using Xero or similar payroll and accounting systems.
• Strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Relevant qualifications in accounting, payroll, finance or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end weekly and monthly payroll processing.
• Process payroll adjustments, superannuation, PAYG, STP, entitlements and termination payments.
• Manage accounts payable, including invoice processing, supplier payments and reconciliations.
• Match and process supplier invoices, purchase orders and supporting documentation.
• Process corporate expenses, credit card statements and staff expense claims.
• Complete bank, supplier and account reconciliations.
• Support payroll and finance reporting, including month-end and EOFY processes.
• Respond to payroll and supplier queries and liaise with employees, managers and stakeholders.
• Maintain confidential payroll and financial records.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of payroll and finance processes.
