Job summary

UNSW is seeking a Claims Officer to join the People & Culture, Quality and Compliance Team to identify, assess and rectify employee pay claims. The Claims Officer will work closely with the Claims Manager to support the investigation of pay claims, applies relevant industrial instruments and legislation, and contributes to the consistent application of remediation methodologies.

The role reports to the Claims Manager within the People & Culture, Quality and Compliance Team.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree with experience advising on employee relations and pay claims.
• Experience conducting investigations into pay claims or equivalent.
• Strong consultation skills with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review and investigate employee pay claims with relevant records.
• Apply claim assessment methodologies and propose outcomes.
• Liaise with Payroll Compliance, Finance and Salaries.
• Communicate with current and former employees throughout the process.
• Manage reporting on claims received and remediation trends.
