Wests Group in Newcastle NSW is seeking a casual Patisserie Attendant to join our Catering team, working across Emporium 88 and The Patisserie to provide quality food and friendly service. The role blends front and back‑of‑house duties, including coffee preparation, food service and customer care.

You will help with food preparation, barista duties and serving items, while maintaining high standards of hygiene and teamwork across outlets. Flexible shifts apply weekdays and weekends.

About thePosition
Our WestsNew Lambton site is currently seeking a casual Patisserie Attendant tojoin our Catering team. This is a varied role working predominantly across twoof our busiest food outlets, Emporium 88 and The Patisserie,providing excellent service and quality food to our members and guests.

Thisposition offers a mix of front and back of house responsibilities. In Emporium88, you will utilise your cooking skills to prepare and serve menu itemsincluding burgers, pizzas, gyros, chips and other fast-paced café style meals.In The Patisserie,your focus will be on customer service, baristacoffee preparation and food preparation, including sandwiches, wraps, saladsand other grab-and-go offerings.

Duties willinclude:

• Providing friendly and efficientservice to members and guests
• Making barista coffee and otherhot beverages
• Preparing, cooking and servingfood in Emporium 88
• Preparing sandwiches, wraps,salads and other items in The Patisserie
• Assisting with food preparationand presentation across both outlets
• Operating tills and processingtransactions
• Maintaining high standards ofcleanliness, hygiene and food safety
• Assisting with the setup andpack down of workstations
• Working collaboratively with thewider Catering team to deliver a great customer experience

Please notethat this role requires flexibility to work a variety of shifts, includingweekdays, weekends, evenings and split shifts.
Above-awardcasual pay rates

• Monday to Friday: $36.73 per hour
• Saturday: $44.07 per hour
• Sunday: $51.42 per hour

About You
You aresomeone who can work under pressure while maintaining high standards of foodquality and customer service. You enjoy working in a fast-paced hospitalityenvironment and are equally comfortable serving customers, making coffee andassisting with food preparation and cooking.

To besuccessful in this role, you will have:

• Barista experience andconfidence preparing coffee and hot beverages
• Experience preparing and cookingfood in a commercial kitchen, café or fast-paced food service environment
• A strong commitment to customerservice
• Knowledge of safe food handlingand hygiene practices
• Strong teamwork andcommunication skills
• Good availability acrossweekdays and weekends
