Far West NSW Local Health District– Broken Hill NSW is seeking a Patient Transport Officer for a temporary part‑time 3‑month contract. Remuneration is $34.49 per hour plus superannuation, with 24 hours per week, based in Wilcannia NSW (2 hours from Broken Hill).

This is a Targeted Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander position with preference under Government Sector Rule 26. Opportunity to join a frontline team dedicated to delivering the ultimate patient experience, with salary packaging

This position qualifies for an annual Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (conditions apply and may be pro-rata?d to your contracted or ordinary working hours, these payments are paid on a fortnightly basis) under theNSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.

This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.

The Wilcannia Multi-Purpose Service (MPS) has a 24-hour 2 bed emergency department and 8 residential aged care beds. Wilcannia MPS has been providing care to the local community for over 140 years.
