Job summary

Epworth HealthCare is Victoria’s largest not-for-profit private health care group, renowned for excellence in diagnosis, treatment, care and rehabilitation. Epworth Richmond and Epworth Hawthorn are seeking Patient Services Officers to coordinate elective and emergency bookings, check health fund eligibility, organise pre-admissions and support patient flow across sites.

You will handle admissions, discharges, bed allocations and related enquiries, with data entry and accounts duties.

Qualifications

• Administration experience in a service industry is expected.
• Experience with health fund checks and requirements is advantageous but not essential.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts across the weekly roster.

Responsibilities

• Perform health fund eligibility checks and provide estimates.
• Organise pre-admissions and facilitate patient admissions and discharges.
• Manage bed allocations to support efficient patient flow.
• Respond promptly to enquiries and requests and handle patient accounts.
• Carry out general administrative duties including data entry.
