Job summary

Western NSW Local Health District in Gulgong NSW is seeking an Assistant in Nursing to support the Nurse Manager and the care team. This permanent part-time role (20 hours per week) offers an opportunity to develop clinical skills within a rural health setting and to contribute to patient and resident wellbeing.

You will assist with daily activities, observe patients, and collaborate with RNs and ENs on rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, in line with CORE NSW Health values.

Qualifications

• Current NSW driver’s license.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Experience as a nursing assistant or support worker is valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily routines: showering, toileting, dressing, eating.
• Support mobility, medications, and exercise as directed.
• Collaborate with RN and EN on shift and follow CORE NSW Health values.
• Observe patients closely and communicate needs to the care team.
