Job summary

IDEXX is seeking a Casual Pathology Courier for evening shifts in Perth. You will collect specimens from veterinary clinics and deliver to our lab, while maintaining safety and professional standards.

This role requires a valid Australian driver’s licence, reliable transport, and a focus on accurate record-keeping using IDEXX systems. You’ll work closely with lab and client teams, upholding IDEXX’s service excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the Perth metropolitan area.
• Comfort using mobile apps and basic computer systems.
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently.

• Available to work the evening roster outlined above on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities

• Collect pathology specimens from veterinary clinics across designated routes throughout Perth.
• Deliver laboratory supplies and materials to customers as required.
• Provide outstanding customer service and act as a professional representative of IDEXX.
• Accurately record collection and delivery information using IDEXX systems and applications.
• Assist with specimen reception, unpacking, sorting, and laboratory support activities as required.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance requirements promptly.
• Ensure company vehicles are clean, well-maintained, secure, and appropriately stocked.
• Follow all traffic regulations, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Work collaboratively with laboratory, customer service, and courier team members to support operational success.
• Identify and report hazards, incidents, and opportunities for improvement.

Casual Part-Time Pathology Courier (Evening Shifts) | Perth

Role

Join IDEXX as a Casual Pathology Courier and play a vital role in supporting veterinary practices across Perth by ensuring specimens are collected and delivered accurately and on time. This permanent part-time position follows a fortnightly roster consisting exclusively of evening shifts:

Week 1

• Monday: 6:30pm - 12:00am
• Tuesday: 6:00pm - 11:30pm
• Friday: 6:00pm - 11:30pm

Week 2

• Monday: 6:00pm - 11:30pm
• Thursday: 6:00pm - 11:30pm
• Friday: 6:30pm - 12:00am

As one of the key faces of IDEXX in the field, you will provide exceptional service to our veterinary clinic customers while safely transporting important pathology samples and supporting our laboratory operations.

In This Role

What You Need To Succeed

• You hold a current and valid Australian driver's licence.
• You have previous customer service experience and enjoy building positive relationships with people.
• You have experience in a courier, delivery, transport, or logistics role, or a similar customer-facing position.
• You have strong knowledge of the Perth metropolitan area and can efficiently navigate local routes.
• You are comfortable using mobile applications and basic computer systems.
• You are reliable, organised, and able to work independently.
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• You are committed to safe driving practices and workplace safety.
• You can comfortably perform the physical requirements of the role, including driving, walking, carrying specimens, and frequent vehicle entry and exit.
• You are available to work the evening roster outlined above on an ongoing basis.
