Job summary

IDEXX in Australia is seeking a reliable Part-Time Pathology Courier to join our Transportation team across Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba and West Region. You will safely collect and transport veterinary specimens, provide outstanding service, and represent IDEXX in the field.

The role suits someone who enjoys driving, working independently and building client relationships. 29 hours per fortnight on a rotating roster, day and evening shifts, full training, and access to IDEXX rewards and benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with specimen reception, sorting, and lab support when required.

Pathology Courier (Part-Time, 29 Hours per Fortnight) – Sunshine Coast / Toowoomba / West Region

Are you looking for a flexible casual part-time role where every day is different? IDEXX is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Courier to join our Transportation team. As a key member of our Reference Laboratories business, you will safely collect and transport veterinary specimens and supplies while providing exceptional service to our customers. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys driving, working independently, and building positive relationships with customers. Previous courier experience is welcome but not essential, as we value adaptability, reliability, and strong customer focus.

In This Role

• You will collect and transport veterinary specimens and supplies across designated courier runs while ensuring timely and accurate service.
• You will provide exceptional customer service and act as a professional representative of IDEXX.
• You will inspect and maintain courier vehicles, ensuring they are safe, clean, and appropriately stocked.
• You will accurately record collections and pickups using IDEXX systems and applications.
• You will assist with specimen reception, sorting, and laboratory support activities when required.
• You will comply with all safety procedures, traffic regulations, and company policies.
• You will work across a rotating fortnightly roster totaling approximately 29 hours per fortnight.

Week 1

• Monday: Day shift
• Tuesday: Night shift
• Thursday: Day shift

Week 2

• Tuesday: Day shift
• Thursday: Possible Night shift

What You Need To Succeed

• You hold a current and valid driver's licence.
• You have a strong commitment to safety and responsible vehicle operation.
• You have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• You can work independently and manage changing priorities throughout the day.
• You are flexible and comfortable working a combination of day and evening shifts.
• You are organized, reliable, and focused on meeting deadlines.
• Previous courier, delivery, logistics, or driving experience is desirable but not essential. We welcome candidates from a variety of backgrounds who enjoy driving and delivering great customer service.
• You are comfortable with the physical requirements of the role, including driving, walking, lifting sample containers, and frequently entering and exiting a vehicle.
