Job summary

NSW Health Pathology in Tenterfield is seeking a Part-time Technical Assistant Grade 2 to join our blood collection team. The role involves venepuncture for outpatients and inpatients at the Tenterfield Hospital and Collection Centre with 4-hour morning shifts, Monday to Friday as rostered.

Training is provided where required, and staff contribute to a frontline pathology service within the NSW Health Pathology network. A Working with Children Check is required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Pathology Collections or equivalent.
• Demonstrated customer service experience and skills with patients, carers and clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform venepuncture on outpatients and inpatients.
• Data entry for patient specimens.
• Prepare and transport specimens to NSW Health Pathology labs as required.
