Job summary

NSW Health Pathology is seeking a Pathology Collector at Concord Hospital to join the Blood Collection service. The role involves venepuncture, specimen handling, data entry and delivering samples for pathology investigations across inpatients, outpatients and home care settings.

This permanent part-time position (25 hours/week) offers learning opportunities with in-house training. Applicants should hold a Certificate III in Pathology Collections and demonstrate strong patient-focused

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Pathology Collections or equivalent experience.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate with patients, carers and staff.
• Ability to learn broad clinical environment tasks including collection, data entry and specimen handling.
• Willingness to work across sites and participate in shift work including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform venepuncture and specimen collection for pathology investigations.
• Enter data accurately and ensure specimens are prepared and transported correctly.
• Contribute to a high-quality patient-focused pathology collection service.
• Support a collaborative team environment across inpatient, outpatient and home care settings.
