Job summary

Bakehouse Delights Pty Ltd in Nowra, NSW is seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join our team and contribute to the daily production of rolls, muffins, pies, cakes, croissants and other baked items. The successful candidate will have extensive baking experience (minimum 3 years), a relevant trade qualification, and strong knowledge of Food Hygiene and WHS.

You must be able to work fast-paced, autonomously when needed, and as part of a team in a full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Bake and prepare a wide range of baked goods including rolls, muffins, cookies, pies, and pastries.
• Review production schedules and assemble raw materials and equipment.
• Weigh, knead, portion, and shape dough and fillings.
• Form, bake, cool, and decorate items; ensure correct appearance.
• Ensure cleaning and safe operation of equipment; maintain OH&S standards.
• Inspect equipment and supplies and report issues.

Job description

Bakehouse Delights is seeking highly a skilled Pastry Chef with experience to join our team.

Key responsibilities

• Baking and preparing rolls ,muffins ,cookies ,pies, cakes ,croissants ,Danish pastry, scones ,bars,Quiche, Tarts ,Tartlets and other baked items.
• Reviewing the production schedules to determine the variety and quantity of goods to be baked,checking and assembling of raw materials and equipments needed for daily baking activities.
• Weighing, kneading, maturing, cutting, mounding, mixing, placing, proofing and shaping the dough and preparing the fillings for the pastry.
• Forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of the batches of the baked items like rolls, muffins and other items.
• Icing, frosting, creaming, spreading, sprinkling, glazing and decorating the baked items.
• Determining and monitoring the baking time for the items, oven temperatures and their appearance.
• Using, emptying, cleaning and greasing the baking trays, tins and other cooking equipments and operating machines.
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the cooking equipment's and area and following the occupational health and safety regulations.
• Examining and reporting any problems and needs of the equipment's, food supplies and any other unusual conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $77,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year(plus superannuation)
