Forbes Machinery Centre in Forbes, NSW is seeking an experienced Parts Interpreter to join our high-performing team. You will help customers at the counter, support the workshop, and manage parts enquiries, bringing knowledge and excellent service to every interaction.

Responsibilities include advising on parts specifications, sourcing and ordering parts, and producing quotes and invoices while maintaining a tidy, well-organised parts area.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar parts interpreter role.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication with customers and colleagues.
• Willingness to obtain/hold a forklift licence if not already held.

• Liaise with customers to assess needs, then recommend and sell appropriate parts.
• Provide advice on parts specifications to customers.
• Source and order parts, generate quotes and invoices.
• Keep the parts department, showroom, entrance, parts receival and storage areas clean and presentable.
• Maintain inventory aligned with business and customer needs, including seasonal demands.

The Opportunity:

• Liaising with customers to assess their needs, then recommend and sell them the appropriateparts.
• Provide advice regarding parts specifications to customers.
• Source and order parts as well as generate quotes and invoices.

• Maintain inventory in line with the business and customer needs, including seasonal demands.

About You:

• Previous experience in a similar position.
• Attention to detail is second nature to you, and you excel at communicating effectively with colleagues and customers.
• Problem-solving is your forte, and you enjoy the challenge of identifying and interpreting parts for customers.
• Current forklift licence ticket or willing to obtain.
• You're eager to contribute to a dynamic team and are committed to delivering top-notch service in the agricultural machinery industry.
