Job summary

Rentco Transport Equipment Rentals is seeking a Parts Interpreter to keep our workshop and fleet online by ensuring parts availability, accuracy in inventory, and proactive support to mechanics and operations teams.

You will drive stock levels, manage procurement, and maintain organised stores across multiple locations, providing timely parts advice and building strong supplier partnerships to optimise pricing and delivery times.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Parts Interpreter in transport or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of semi-trailer and prime mover parts.
• Proficient in inventory management and parts systems.

Responsibilities

• Stay ahead of demand by managing stock levels and ordering requirements.
• Support workshop operations with timely parts advice to mechanics and managers.
• Own the parts store, keeping it safe, organised and efficient.
• Build supplier relationships for pricing, availability and turnaround.
• Manage purchase orders, receipting, invoicing, stock control and stocktakes.
• Source backorders and alternative suppliers to minimise downtime.
