Vehicle Dealers International Pty Ltd (VDI) is seeking an experienced Spare Parts Interpreter with a background in bus or heavy vehicle parts to join our Sydney team. The role focuses on interpreting parts needs, providing accurate recommendations, and delivering exceptional customer service.

You will work closely with our Workshop Manager and National Parts Manager, manage stock and orders, handle forklift duties when required, and support both internal and external customers with timely parts

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably with Pentana systems
• Working knowledge of parts and accessories for heavy duty vehicles
• Ability to work autonomously whilst actively supporting the broader team
• High attention to detail
• Parts stocktake and control experience
• High level focus on consistently delivering great customer service
• Knowledge of freight processes for delivery of freight to customers
• Safe and compliant operation of forklift at all times

Responsabilités

• Develop strong customer relationships both internally and externally.
• Provide parts advice and support to customers and workshops both internally and externally
• Investigate any customer issues and quickly resolve them
• Liaise with service, sales, and workshop staff, especially in the pro-active provision of parts
• Raise purchase orders and associated parts administration within VDI’s systems
• Manage parts inventory, including monitoring and pro-active resolution of supply risks
• Warehouse duties pick, pack, despatch and receive where necessary, including forklift
• Respond to and process incoming phone, email & face to face inquiries
• Maintaining a high level of accuracy in parts interpretation and processing orders
• Accurately perform parts stocktakes
• Ensuring orders are processed and dispatched to clients in a timely manner
• Arrange shipment of orders with local couriers
• Other duties as assigned

Vehicle Dealers International Pty Ltd (VDI) is the sole Australian distributor for Yutong buses.

We are seeking an experiencedSpareParts Interpreter, preferably with a background in the Bus, or Heavy Vehicle Industry but would not exclude anyone with a strong mechanical or related parts background. The core purpose of the Spare Parts Interpreter role is to consistently delight and satisfy our customers through thetimelyinterpretation and provision of their parts needs – both internally and externally. We operate Pentana/ERA systems and sound knowledge of these isadvantageous.

This is a hands-on role,working closely with ourWorkshop Manager whilereporting directly to the National Parts Manager.

Your’ll be responsible for:
