Job summary

Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is seeking a Parts Interpreter for a 12-month fixed-term period to support customers in construction and mining sectors with parts enquiries, quotations, orders and deliveries. The role focuses on delivering excellent service, accurate parts sourcing, and maintaining inventory, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Reporting to the Parts Manager, you will work across departments to ensure timely, reliable service, support warehouse operations

Qualifications

  • Experience in customer service, parts sales, inventory, warehousing, or a similar role.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Customer-focused with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable using computer systems such as Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP platforms.
  • Committed to safety, teamwork, and delivering high-quality service.
  • Flexible and willing to support a variety of branch and operational activities.

  • Build strong customer relationships with loyal customers in the construction equipment industry.
  • Source, quote, invoice, and distribute parts accurately and efficiently.

  • Champion workplace safety through active participation in WHS initiatives and maintaining a clean, organised work environment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customers receive timely and reliable service.
  • Provide general branch administration and operational support as needed.

Reporting to the Parts Manager, the Parts Interpreter - Construction is a 12 month Fixed Term opportunity to play a key role in supporting customers across the construction and equipment sectors by delivering exceptional service, parts support, and sales solutions. This position is responsible for managing parts enquiries, quotations, order processing, inventory coordination, and identifying opportunities to grow parts and construction equipment sales.
