Job summary

Curtin University is seeking two Business Development Managers to connect industry challenges with Curtin's research capabilities. You will identify partnerships, build strategic relationships, and coordinate major funding proposals.

This permanent role requires permanent work rights in Australia and offers a generous salary with 17% superannuation. Based at Curtin's Bentley campus, you will engage with industry, government and researchers to translate ideas into practical, real-world impact

Qualifications

Postgraduate qualification such as an MBA or equivalent experience.
Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering business outcomes.
Highly developed negotiation skills across contracts and partnerships.
Established professional network within the business community.
Knowledge of IP protection and its application to collaborations.

Responsibilities

Identify and develop research partnership opportunities aligned with Curtin's priorities.
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective partners through proactive networking.
Establish relationships with industry, government bodies, not-for-profits and stakeholders.
Understand partner needs and align Curtin capabilities to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.
Contribute to research partnership strategies and major funding proposals.
