Job summary

Queensland Government's Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) invites a senior leader to steer the Partner Growth program, uniting major developers in Priority Development Areas and delivering coordinated, high-value outcomes for growth and housing delivery.

Lead commercial negotiations, oversee Partner Infrastructure Agreements, and guide strategic advisory for executives while managing relationships with local governments, TMR and utilities.

Qualifications

• Executive leadership experience in government or large-scale development
• Strong grounding in planning or engineering, including land use and infrastructure planning
• Proven track record of fast-tracking complex development projects with multiple stakeholders
• Strong networks with developers and ideally with state agencies, utilities and councils
• Confident negotiator who can be firm while maintaining relationships
• Private sector experience in development or consulting is advantageous with relevant tertiary qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial negotiations on program fees and ensure services are cost-recovered
• Lead Partner Infrastructure Agreements and provide executive negotiation and strategic advice
• Lead PDA declarations and amendments and drive streamlined assessment of development applications
• Manage relationships with local governments, TMR and utilities
• Collaborate with Group Directors to grow the program and improve EDQ's standard service
• Lead an empowered, engaged and capable team
