Job summary

City of Perth is seeking a permanent part-time WHS Officer to support the WHS & Wellbeing Manager with reporting, data analysis and improvement across WHS systems. Flexible roster: minimum three days per week, up to 37.5 hours per fortnight in the CBD.

Based in Corporate Services | Human Resources, you will help drive safety programs, ensure legislative alignment, and engage stakeholders to foster a safe workplace.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
• Demonstrated knowledge of work health and safety legislation and how this is practically applied.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage, influence and educate.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly and quarterly WHS reporting, extracting data and compiling graphs for analysis.
• Coordinate health and wellbeing initiatives, skin checks, vaccinations, ergonomic assessments and fitness passport registrations.
• Maintain WHS registers (inspections, training registers and nominated emergency wardens, first aiders and HSRs).
• Prepare intranet news articles, safety alerts and toolbox topics.
• Coordinate WHS team and committee meetings, agendas and minutes.
• Prepare training compliance reports, conduct gap analysis and inform stakeholders about training needs.
• Document control for WHS procedures, forms, registers and templates, ensuring version control and accessibility using City approved ICT systems.
• Purchase order and invoice management.
