Blacktown City Council is seeking a Safety Lead to strengthen our work health and safety culture. You will work with operational teams and leaders to provide practical advice, resolve WHS issues and identify opportunities to improve how we work.

You will monitor the WHS incident register, investigate incidents, participate in inspections and audits, and ensure accurate WHS records and documentation. A permanent full-time role with attractive benefits is offered.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and review WHS incident register and investigate incidents.
• Participate in workplace inspections and audits, following through on corrective actions.
• Review safety data, identify trends, and keep WHS records up to date.
• Support implementation and continuous improvement of WHS policies and systems.
• Address workplace changes, safety risks and training needs with managers and staff.
