Job summary

The City of Perth is seeking a permanent part-time WHS Officer to support the WHS & Wellbeing Manager. The role offers a flexible roster, with up to 37.5 hours per fortnight and a minimum of three days per week, based in the CBD.

You will analyse reports, drive continuous improvement across WHS systems, and help maintain safety documentation. Eligible candidates will have Certificate IV in WHS, knowledge of WHS legislation, and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety and knowledge of WHS legislation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly and quarterly WHS reporting, extracting data and compiling graphs for analysis.
• Process Health Lifestyle reimbursements and coordinate health and wellbeing initiatives.
• Maintain WHS registers (inspections, training registers and nominated emergency wardens, first aiders and HSRs).
• Prepare intranet news articles, safety alerts and toolbox topics.
• Coordinate WHS team and committee meetings, agendas and minutes.
• Prepare training compliance reports, conduct gap analysis and inform stakeholders about training needs.
• Document control for WHS procedures, forms, registers and templates, ensuring version control and accessibility using City approved ICT systems.
• Purchase order and invoice management.
