Job summary

City of Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst for a fixed-term, part-time role (12 hours per week, 36 hours with job sharing) on the Gold Coast. The role focuses on designing, developing and implementing reporting and dashboard solutions to enable data-driven decision making across the organisation.

You'll work with stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable insights using Power BI, SQL and related tools, mentor team members, and contribute to high-performance data

Qualifications

• A bachelor or postgraduate qualification in Data Analytics, Data Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical expertise in data analytics with a solid understanding of business processes.
• Experience collaborating with internal customers and technical teams to deliver insights.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated reports and dashboards that communicate insights clearly.
• Use Power BI, DAX, Power Query, SQL to extract, transform and analyze data from corporate systems.
• Translate complex data into meaningful insights to inform strategic and operational outcomes.
• Mentor and support team members to build skills and foster collaboration.
• Manage data analysis requests and priorities to deliver results aligned with high-performance principles.
