Job summary

City of Gold Coast is seeking a Senior Data Analyst for a fixed-term, part-time role (12 hours/week, 36 hours via job share) until October 2027. Flexible working days with a focus on creating impactful reporting and dashboards to support data-driven decisions across the organisation.

You will design, develop and implement analytics solutions, collaborate with stakeholders, mentor team members and promote a culture of safety and high performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or postgraduate qualification in Data Analytics/Data Science or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong, demonstrated technical expertise in data analytics with solid understanding of business processes and data needs.
• Ability to work with internal customers and technical teams to deliver meaningful outcomes while applying best practice.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated reports and dashboards that clearly communicate business insights.
• Use Power BI, DAX, Power Query, SQL and other tools to extract and analyse data from corporate systems and other sources.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights for strategic and operational decision-making.
• Mentor and support team members to build skills and foster collaboration and innovation.
• Deliver tangible results that enhance the City’s data-driven decision-making and high-performance standards.
