Job summary

The University of Melbourne is seeking a part-time, fixed-term educator to lead general medicine teaching at Echuca Clinical School. You will coordinate clinical learning for Rural Clinical School students and work closely with Echuca Regional Health to shape the next generation of rural medical practitioners.

You will plan and deliver teaching, coordinate placements and ward rounds, guide students on professional conduct, contribute to assessments, and participate in research activities,

Qualifications

• Medical qualification recognised in Australia.
• Fellowship or equivalent recognised postgraduate qualification.
• Experience in clinical teaching and curriculum delivery in hospital-based general medicine.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality general medicine teaching and clinical learning activities for RCS students.
• Coordinate student placements, ward rounds and inpatient experiences with Echuca Regional Health teams.
• Orientate students to Echuca Regional Health wards and processes, guiding professional conduct and skills.
• Contribute to assessment design and exams with fair, standards-aligned evaluation.
• Participate in committees and research activities, including supervising student projects.
