Job summary

Salesian College Chadstone in Chadstone, VIC, seeks an experienced Risk and Compliance Manager to strengthen risk management, regulatory compliance, child safety and workplace safety across the College.

Reporting to the Business Manager, you will oversee risk and compliance frameworks, advise across governance matters and deliver staff training in risk management and compliance. This 0.8 FTE, ongoing role commences Term 1, 2027 and offers the chance to contribute to a Catholic school community.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in risk management, compliance or a related field, preferably within education.
• Strong knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Experience developing and implementing policies, procedures and risk management frameworks.
• Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with leadership, staff and external stakeholders.
• Commitment to child safety and the Catholic and Salesian values of the College.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk management processes, including maintaining the College's risk register.
• Oversee regulatory compliance, policy development and review.
• Support Child Safety and Ministerial Order 1359 compliance.
• Coordinate Occupational Health and Safety and emergency management processes.
• Manage privacy obligations and support incident management.
• Provide governance and administrative support to the College Board and committees.
• Support VRQA and CRICOS compliance requirements.
• Deliver staff training and professional learning in risk management and compliance.
