Job summary

Lighthouse Christian College in Keysborough, Melbourne, seeks a part-time 0.8FTE Risk & Compliance Officer to lead risk, compliance and governance across the College. You will collaborate with leadership to ensure regulatory adherence, manage risk, oversee child safety and wellbeing, and drive continuous improvement in governance and policies.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Current National Police Check.
• Experience managing compliance, governance, risk or policy frameworks.
• Knowledge of Victorian Child Safe Standards and Ministerial Order No. 1359.
• Ability to maintain confidential records and handle sensitive information.
• Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience interpreting legislation into practical processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain enterprise risk management framework.
• Identify, assess, mitigate and monitor organizational risks.
• Support risk processes for on-site/off-site activities (camps, excursions, events).
• Monitor regulatory changes impacting the College.
• Maintain risk registers; review by risk owners.
• Prepare risk/compliance reports for Executive Team and Board.
• Develop, review and communicate policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and school registration requirements.
• Collaborate with leaders on Child Safety Framework implementation.
• Administer risk management systems (Ideagen policy Connect, Consent2Go, SAM4Schools).
