Job summary

Patterson Cheney Cars and Trucks is seeking a hands-on People and Culture Coordinator to support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training and HR administration from our Keysborough centre.

Based in Keysborough, you will work across the employee lifecycle, partnering with leaders to foster an inclusive, high‑performing culture while handling compliance, HR systems (ELMO) and administration with discretion.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline
• At least two years’ generalist HR experience
• Working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and Modern Awards
• Experience using an HRIS, with ELMO experience highly regarded
• Proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite
• Strong interpersonal, organisational and problem‑solving skills
• A high level of confidentiality, discretion and professional integrity
• A proactive, hands‑on approach and the ability to work independently
• Automotive industry experience, although beneficial, is not essential

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment activities, including candidate screening and interview coordination
• Coordinate onboarding, policy acknowledgements, system requirements and orientation scheduling
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation within ELMO
• Monitor and report on onboarding, offboarding, training and performance review activities
• Support performance management processes, including documentation and improvement plans
• Coordinate internal, external and compliance‑based training programs
• Maintain training records and monitor completion requirements through the HRIS
• Assist with HR policies, procedures and employment compliance
• Provide support with employee queries, grievances and workplace matters
• Help coordinate employee engagement, wellbeing and recognition initiatives
• Support remuneration reviews, succession planning and career development activities
• Prepare HR reports and review systems and processes for accuracy and efficiency
