Job summary

Clarity Partners is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join an ASX-listed mining company on a part-time basis of 3 days per week (flexible on your terms). You will deliver accurate and timely payroll while supporting employees across the business.

The role suits a proactive individual who handles payroll queries, reconciliations and day-to-day requirements with high confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll-focused roles, ideally in mining/resources or complex payroll environments.
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and employee entitlements.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage competing deadlines.
• Confident in handling payroll queries with employees at all levels.
• Payroll qualifications or relevant experience are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll accurately and within deadlines.
• Maintain employee payroll records and changes
• Handle payroll queries from employees and internal stakeholders
• Ensure payroll calculations, deductions, leave, and entitlements are correct
• Assist with payroll reconciliations and reporting
• Support compliance with legislation, awards, and company policies
• Maintain confidential payroll data and documentation
• Assist with audits, reporting, and year-end requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, systems and controls
• Collaborate with Finance and People teams for a smooth payroll function
