Job summary

Michael Page partners with Australia\'s fourth-largest gold miner to recruit a Payroll Officer for a large-scale team. The role includes fortnightly, monthly, and off-cycle processing with Workday exposure and a focus on accuracy and compliance.

You will handle PAYG, superannuation, child support deductions, and novated leases, while managing expense claims, reconciliations, and process improvements in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years payroll experience in a medium to large organisation.
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data reconciliation.
• Experience managing payroll queries and working within service ticketing environments.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume payroll function.

Responsibilities

• Processing payroll-related transactions including PAYG, superannuation, child support deductions, and novated leases
• Managing employee expense claims and payroll adjustments
• Supporting fortnightly, monthly, and off-cycle payroll processing
• Conducting payroll reconciliations, validations, and audits
• Calculating overpayments and unpaid leave adjustments
• Investigating and resolving payroll queries through the payroll ticketing system
• Assisting with payroll amendments and reconciliations across a high-volume environment
• Supporting payroll process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and documentation updates
• Working closely with Senior Payroll Officers to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
