Job summary

Search Consultancy LTD is supporting the recruitment of a Payroll Officer in Stirling on a part-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional seeking a flexible part-time role within a supportive and established team.

You'll play a key role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately, efficiently and in line with current legislation, while acting as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers across the business.

Qualifications

• Previous payroll experience, ideally processing weekly and monthly payrolls.
• Demonstrable understanding of HMRC requirements, statutory deductions and pension administration.
• Experience carrying out payroll reconciliations and maintaining controls.
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to manage payroll queries professionally.
• Comfortable using payroll and HR systems.
• Payroll qualification or equivalent payroll experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and within deadlines.
• Manage starters, leavers and contractual changes.
• Check payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
• Process statutory payments, deductions and pension contributions.
• Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records.
• Respond to payroll queries from employees and managers.
• Support payroll reconciliations and reporting requirements.
• Ensure payroll activities comply with legislation and internal procedures.
• Provide general payroll administration and support to the wider team.
