Job summary

ESV is seeking a Payroll & HR Administrator to join the People & Culture team in Sydney. This part-time role (three days a week or more) focuses on keeping payroll accurate and on time, while maintaining employment documentation and HR systems.

You’ll support payroll processing, HRIS administration, and onboarding/offboarding, with exposure to contracts and recruitment tasks. Degree in accounting, business or HR and 2–3 years’ experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in a payroll or HR administration role.
• Payroll experience is preferred but not essential, familiarity with Australian payroll processes helpful.

Responsibilities

• Run monthly payroll and manage compliance obligations (Payroll Tax, PAYG, Superannuation, STP).
• Assist with employment contracts and related documentation.
• Manage offboarding for exiting staff.
• Administer HRIS (Employment Hero) and personnel records.
• Provide light support across recruitment, onboarding and P&C inquiries.
• Support ad hoc P&C projects and surveys.
