Job summary

The Wesley Hospital in Brisbane is seeking a mature, reliable medical receptionist to join our practice part-time (3-4 days) in Auchenflower, supporting a busy specialist surgeon. Australian citizenship is required for this position.

We also operate from other practice sites in Ipswich one day a week, with occasional travel to attend offsite clinics. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in specialist medical practice, knowledge of Medicare and private health fund billing, and are proficient in Gentu

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in a specialist medical practice.
• Knowledge of Medicare and Private Health Fund Billing.
• Gentu Software is preferable.
• The ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• High level of customer service.
• Typing speeds of at least 60wpm.

Responsibilities

• Diary management of appointments and surgery bookings.
• Meet and greet patients.
• Maintaining patient records in a paperless-based practice.
• Incoming phone, email and electronic correspondence enquiries.
• General administrative duties.
• Operation and equipment bookings.
