Job summary

Waverley Christian College in Narre Warren South is seeking multiple part-time Secondary Learning Support Assistants to help create an inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive.

Roles are generally 3–5 days per week during term time, with ongoing and fixed-term opportunities. Some positions may involve SPARC support for students with significant needs and collaboration across classroom support and small-group interventions.

Qualifications

• Have or are working towards a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Education Support, or are working toward qualification in Teaching/Education or have extensive experience relevant to the duties performed
• Have a passion for supporting students with disabilities
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and other support staff
• Demonstrate strong spoken and written English skills, with the ability to confidently support students in English and Humanities subjects
• Have good administrative and Microsoft Office 365 skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Support students in classroom settings and small-group intervention programs
• Work within the SPARC program to support students with significant learning and support needs
• Assist teachers and help students actively participate in class and school activities
