Job summary

Greater Shepparton City Council invites applications for an Early Childhood Educator – Certificate III (Kindergarten) at Nancy Vibert Children's Centre in Shepparton. The role is part-time and temporary until December 2027, initially 31 hours 40 minutes per week, with a transition to 3 days per week in 2027.

You will support children’s learning, development and wellbeing with a caring, child-centred approach.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Current HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
• Current CPR – HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Criminal History Check (valid within six months)
• Current and valid Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Current Foundations of Child Safety Training Course 1 & 2
• Protecting Children – Mandatory reporting and other obligations early childhood

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning, development and wellbeing through meaningful relationships and engaging experiences.
• Provide high-quality care consistent with centre policies and practices.
• Contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment.
