Job summary

NEW CARE SERVICES LTD is seeking a Junior Accountant/Accounts Payable for a part-time role based in our Brunswick offices (Brunswick, VIC 3056). You will support the accounts payable function, process invoices, manage supplier payments and assist with general accounting duties in a collaborative, flexible environment.

Qualifications

• Completed or current studies in accounting, finance, or a related discipline (tertiary qualification or equivalent)
• Entry-level to junior experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting function
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numerical data
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Professional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members

Responsibilities

• Verifying invoice accuracy and supporting documentation before payment authorisation
• Preparing payment runs and managing supplier payment schedules
• Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies
• Maintaining accurate accounts payable records and filing
• Assisting with month-end close procedures, including accruals and prepayments
• Supporting the preparation of accounts payable reports and aged creditor listings
• Liaising with suppliers regarding payment queries and invoice issues
• Assisting with general accounting duties as required
