Job summary

Integral Diagnostics (IDX) Imaging @ Olympic Park is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our state-of-the-art imaging facility on a 12-month maternity leave contract. The role is part-time, 3 days per week (Mon–Fri), and focuses on nursing care for patients undergoing imaging procedures including MRI, CT, X-ray and ultrasound.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensure in Victoria is required.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience, preferably in imaging/radiology, with interventional procedure experience.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills with patients, families and the team.
• Ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to patients undergoing imaging procedures (MRI/CT/X-ray/US).
• Conduct thorough patient assessments including history and vitals to prepare for procedures and identify risks.
• Assist radiologists and imaging technologists during procedures and ensure proper patient positioning.
• Educate patients and families about imaging procedures, prep, and post-procedure care.
• Adhere to safety protocols including radiation safety and infection control.
• Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses in EMR in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists and staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance nursing care in the imaging department.
