Job summary

SCR South Coast Radiology is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join Imaging @ Olympic Park on a 12-month maternity leave contract. The role is part-time, 3 days per week, with responsibilities across MRI, CT, X-ray, and ultrasound patient care.

The successful candidate will monitor patients, assist radiologists, educate families, and uphold safety and quality standards in a fast-paced imaging environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required for Victoria state.
• Experience supporting interventional imaging procedures preferred.
• BLS certification mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing imaging procedures (MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound) and sedation as needed.
• Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and ensure safety throughout imaging visits.
• Assist radiologists and technologists during procedures and position patients appropriately.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, preparations, and post-procedure care.
• Adhere to radiation safety and infection control protocols.
• Document assessments and interventions in EMR promptly.
• Collaborate with the imaging team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the imaging department.
