Imaging @ Olympic Park (IOP) is seeking an Associate Nurse Unit Manager on a 12-month maternity leave contract. The role provides clinical and operational leadership within the Day Procedure Centre, supporting the Director of Nursing to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.

This part-time position (3 days per week) requires availability on a rotating Mon-Fri roster and aims to deliver an exceptional patient experience across pre-admission, procedure, recovery and discharge stages.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
• Demonstrated leadership capability with strong communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Experience in radiology, day procedure, perioperative or acute care settings will be highly regarded.
• IV Cannulation qualification preferred, training support available for suitable candidate.
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Flexibility for overtime requirements as rostered and required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and coordinate patient flow across pre-admission, admission, procedure, recovery and discharge areas.
• Support the Director of Nursing with workforce coordination, staff allocation, mentoring and clinical support.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement in line with NSQHS Standards and clinical governance requirements.
• Assist with incident management, risk identification, quality activities and accreditation compliance.
• Collaborate with nursing, medical, technical and administrative teams to ensure efficient service delivery and an exceptional patient experience.
• Act as the designated clinical leader in the absence of the Director of Nursing, within scope of practice. Including flexibility to provide occasional out-of-hours availability to support staff rostering, coordinate clinic resources, and respond to urgent patient enquiries.
