Job summary

Life Without Barriers in Mackay, QLD is seeking a Part-Time House Manager to lead our Semi-Independent Living Program, helping young people build the skills, confidence and independence they need to transition into adulthood and to thrive in their communities.

You will mentor a team of Youth Workers to provide trauma-informed support, coordinate rosters and care plans, promote safety and cultural responsiveness, and build partnerships with families and service providers to support each young

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or equivalent, or currently working towards this qualification.
• Experience supporting young people with complex needs, trauma or disadvantage.
• Experience leading a team and coordinating service delivery.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and risk-management skills.
• Current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence.
• First Aid and CPR certificates, or willingness to obtain before commencing.
• Willingness to complete Hope and Healing Framework Foundations training before commencing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Youth Workers, providing supervision and guidance.
• Oversee service delivery and individual care plans to support positive outcomes.
• Promote a safe, therapeutic and culturally responsive environment.
• Support staff to manage challenging situations using Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI).
• Coordinate rosters, manage risks and maintain accurate client records.
• Support young people to develop life skills, independence and successful transitions.
