Life Without Barriers in Mackay is seeking a part-time House Manager to lead our Semi-Independent Living Program. You will guide a team of Youth Workers, support young people to build independence, and help them transition to adulthood with trauma-informed care.

You’ll champion cultural connection, contribute to care planning, and collaborate with families and community partners to create stable, supportive environments that enable positive outcomes.

Qualificações

• Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or equivalent, or currently working towards.
• Experience supporting young people with complex needs, trauma or disadvantage.
• Experience leading a team and coordinating service delivery.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and risk-management skills.
• First Aid and CPR certificates, or willingness to obtain before commencing.
• Willingness to complete Hope and Healing Framework Foundations training before commencing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and client databases.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and mentor Youth Workers, providing supervision.
• Oversee service delivery and individual care plans to support positive outcomes.
• Promote a safe, therapeutic and culturally responsive environment.
• Support staff to manage challenging situations using Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI).
• Coordinate rosters, manage risks and maintain accurate client records.
• Support young people to develop life skills, independence and successful transitions.
