Job summary

Investible, a leading Asia-Pacific venture capital firm, seeks a part-time Legal Counsel to support funds, investments and Club Investible. The role spans corporate, M&A, governance and operations across Australia and Singapore, with flexible 2 days per week and potential workload-based scaling.

You’ll work closely with leadership, manage external counsel, and drive practical, risk-aware legal strategies in a fast-paced startup ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Admission as a lawyer in an Australian jurisdiction with a current practising certificate.
• 5+ years’ post-qualification experience, ideally including senior associate at top-tier or in-house.
• Experience in venture capital, private equity, funds management, financial services or corporate/M&A.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Sound commercial judgement and ability to give clear advice.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Comfort with AI tools to work efficiently.
• Familiarity with Singapore corporate or funds regulation (desirable).
• Collaborative mindset and genuine interest in startups and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Support the legal management of Investible’s funds, including constituent documents, LP side letters and investor onboarding.
• Manage carry trust documentation and staff carry participation letters.
• Support compliance with financial services licensing and regulatory obligations across Australia and Singapore.
• Review term sheets, subscription agreements, shareholders’ deeds, constitutions and other transaction documents.
• Work with the investment team to identify and resolve key legal and commercial issues on new and follow-on investments.
• Manage external counsel on more complex transactions.
• Maintain and improve Club Investible investment document templates.
• Review Club investment structures and offer documentation for compliance.
• Support the Club team on member and investor legal queries.
• Support corporate governance across Investible Holdings and its subsidiaries, including Singapore entities.
• Support board and committee processes, including the Investment Committee where required.
• Review commercial contracts, employment documents and supplier agreements.
• Build and maintain a library of standard templates and precedents.
• Manage external law firms, including scoping work and tracking legal spend.
• Provide practical legal guidance and training to the team.
