Capital Executive Search is seeking a Junior Legal Counsel to support institutional funds and investment management. You’ll work directly with the General Counsel and COO, handling client onboarding and drafting governance documents in a fast-growing investment manager environment.

You will gain exposure to ISDA, KYC/AML, and multi-jurisdiction fund structuring across Australia and beyond, developing practical legal solutions and strong drafting skills while contributing to compliance and client

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice in Australia (or eligible for admission).
• 1–4 years' post-qualification experience, ideally in funds management, banking and finance, M&A or corporate.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills with attention to detail.
• Commercially minded with ability to translate legal issues into practical solutions.
• Capable of juggling multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Financial services or institutional client exposure is a bonus.

Responsabilités

• Own end-to-end institutional client onboarding, coordinating legal, operational and compliance workstreams
• Draft, review and negotiate client-facing documents, investment management agreements, side letters, subscription docs, fee arrangements
• Support new mandate and fund structure establishment across multiple jurisdictions
• Liaise with custodians, administrators, prime brokers and clearing counterparties
• Get exposure to derivatives and trading documentation (ISDA and related)
• Coordinate KYC/AML, regulatory and internal approvals
