Sureway Employment and Training in Corowa is seeking an Employment Consultant to support a caseload of participants on their journey to work. You will engage with people, identify opportunities, and connect participants with local employers to create sustainable outcomes.

You’ll work with people with a disability to understand goals, boost confidence, and arrange access to supports or training as needed. This role emphasizes initiative, organisation and community engagement.

Formación

• Self-motivated, proactive and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication to build rapport with participants and employers.
• Commercial awareness to understand employer needs and match candidates.

Responsabilidades

• Work one-on-one with participants to set clear employment goals and action plans.
• Actively build relationships with local employers to create job opportunities.
• Promote participants’ strengths and match them to suitable roles.
• Support participants before and after placement to ensure sustainable employment.
• Identify barriers and coordinate support services or training where needed.
• Manage your own caseload, priorities, and follow-ups to keep things moving.
• Maintain accurate records and meet program compliance requirements.
• Represent Sureway in the local community to build awareness and connections.
