Job summary

YMCA Queensland is seeking an Educational Leader for the Kedron Outside School Hours Care team on a permanent part-time basis. You will shape engaging programs, mentor educators, and ensure every child feels safe and included.

You will lead by example, champion play-based learning, and collaborate with families and schools to create a strong support network around each child. Applicants should have a Diploma in Children’s Services and relevant ECEC experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent; desirable
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Knowledge of the approved learning framework
• Ability to coach and mentor others
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of child development, attachment and learning
• Evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning
• Knowledge of leadership theories and styles
• Strong analytical thinking and reflective practice
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
