Bayside Health is seeking an Emergency Department Ward Clerk to support registration, admission and discharge for patients at the Emergency and Trauma Centre and Virtual ED. You will coordinate communication, patient services and clerical tasks, under the Associate Director of Emergency Nursing, to ensure smooth operations and positive patient experiences.

You will work in a fast-paced environment with weekends and night shifts, contributing to timely, high-quality care and strong customer

Qualifications

• Outstanding interpersonal and customer relation skills when working with the public and health professionals.
• Experience managing telephones and reception is essential.
• Excellent clerical and computer skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Completion of a medical terminology course or experience is favourable.

Responsabilités

• Register, admit and discharge all patients attending the Emergency and Trauma Centre and Virtual ED.
• Coordinate communication, patient services and clerical functions as directed by leadership.
• Promote good customer relations with patients, visitors and staff.
